Under-two Area
Our under two area is a safe and caring place for small children. We prefer to keep a small group size so we can concentrate on forming quality relationships with children and their families at this important time of their lives. Robyn, our under two coordinator, has been here for over 13 years and is a favourite with all our children at the centre. Robyn previously worked as a karitane nurse, she has a Diploma of teaching in early childhood and is fully registered. Having Robyn here to form bonds with young children is one of our biggest assets. She makes individualised routines based on what happens at home. Our babies receive high quality care and find a little home away from home in our under two area.
Over-two Area
The over two staff have been 
together for many years and have a real close bond. You could often wonder who is having more fun, the children or the teachers. The tamariki enjoy playing and learning in a rich and stimulating environment that supports their interests. We are very lucky to have such a wonderful setting which invites children to investigate, challenge and participate in activities that promote their thinking and physical skills. Teachers have a good understanding of emerging literacy and mathematics, and foster these concepts through children’s play and individualised learning plans.

Transition to School
As our children approach five they move into our daily transition to school programme. Our goal is to have our children well prepared and eagerly anticipating attending school. We like to be active and have fun. Our tamariki like to get out there and experience life. Confidence, self help skills and a can do attitude are dispositions we really like to equip our tamariki with before they leave. Our environment is well resourced and promotes early literacy and mathematics. Children confidently use a wide range of information communication technologies to research their schools and interests.
